There are six major climatic regions in the United States:

  southwest of the United States, the climate is arid, almost desert. Record
  temperatures are displayed in this area of ​​the United States: the famous Death Valley is the
  record of 54 degrees.
  


• The Pacific coast of the United States: There are
  two different sectors. In California, the climate is rather Mediterranean, summers are hot and
  dry, (average 21 degrees in winter in Los Angeles), and winters are mild (around 12 degrees). In
  the northern part of the United States (Oregon, Washington), the climate is similar to that of
  Britain or Ireland with fairly heavy precipitation. In Portland, temperatures are around 5
  degrees in winter, and 19 degrees in July.
